Dr Elliese Ackermann

Dr Elliese Ackermann truly believes in the importance of primary healthcare and a patient-centered approach – treating the patient, not just the illness. She loves that as a GP she can provide continuity of care to her patients and their families, and build long term relationships to help them navigate and treat their medical issues throughout all stages of their life.

She has particular interests in women’s health, antenatal and postnatal care, chronic disease management, palliative care and skin cancer management.

Elliese grew up in Warwick before moving to Brisbane for her medical training at The University of Queensland. Elliese has previously worked in hospitals in a variety of specialities in Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Maleny, and most recently in Far North Queensland in Gordonvale, Mareeba and Cairns.

Elliese loves sport and adventuring outside. You can find her at the Gabba sporting her maroon, blue and gold at every Lions game. She has also recently made running a new personality trait, so any tips on good running routes would be appreciated! Kudos!
